During the holiday season I bring out lots of lights and decorations. I change out my everyday dishes and put Christmas china in its place. My morning coffee is in a Christmas mug. These beautiful things need to be used and enjoyed.
This year I've also started using my candle scent warmer each day that I am at home. Like many of the items above I used to use it only when company came. The delicious smell of cinnamon or pine filled the house. Guests would comment on how wonderful it was. They were right -- but why did I iuse it just when they came? Didn't I deserve that holiday smell, too?
What I'm saying here is don't keep the special and beautiful things in life just for others. There's someone with you everyday who deserves the china, beautiful decorations and candles -- you! Lift yourself up with your beautiful things. You'll be happier and ready to share them with others. Don't keep it packed away -- bring it out and use it for all those you love (including yourself).
