Step Away

I am used to having a "To Do" list. It seemed important to get everything done. Keeping myself organized did help each day go smoothly and I always felt good when everything was finished. But having a craft business is different. I can not command myself to create. Ideas are not always there when I want them to be. What I start sometimes evolves into something completely different. I find myself operating on a "What Will Happen Today" list.

This requires much more patience with myself. I have to listen to what my inner self is saying. I have to have faith that  I am always doing what I am supposed to be doing even if it was not my initial plan. At times I need a quieter place. Sometimes I need a more peaceful me. If I am frustrated nothing comes together right. Sometimes I have to step away.

And stepping away is perfectly fine. Beautiful things don't come from an unsettled mind. Creativity can' t get through if you're not ready to accept it. So embrace the fact that you will accomplish what is perfect for each day. It will simplify your life.
