Smooth, sweet caramel corn. Powdery, salty, cheesy popcorn. Eat them together and they taste so good. Divided in the popcorn tin by a thin piece of cardboard. But much better together.
If these two flavors of popcorn go well together could it also be true of other things in life? What other unlikely combinations are there? You and a skill you've never tried? Reading a book in a genre you think you don't like? Getting to know a person you have nothing in common with? Spending time doing something outside of your comfort zone?
Maybe the world would be a more flavorful place if we removed that piece of cardboard in our own lives and mixed the popcorn up, so to speak. This year I think I'll try some unlikely combinations.
