The traditional definition of "wistful" from the 1906 edition of Webster's Dictionary reads as follows: "Full of thoughts, earnest, attentive. From the root 'wist'; the sense of stretching or reaching toward."
As we age, experience may mature our thoughts. It should keep our time with others more earnest and insure that we are attentive to all of the world around us. Being alive, at any age, means to keep reaching forward and to have the courage to do new things. So, stretch with me as The Wistful Grandma blogs (every Tuesday and Friday), creates, and shares.
Here's to being wistful!
